Dear Aircraft Owners, Pilots, and Aviation Enthusiasts,

 

We would like to extend our invitation to you to be a participant in 12th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta scheduled on February 7-10, 2008 at Clark Field in Pampanga, Philippines and the Flower Island Fly-In on Feb. 11-13.  We hope that you will be able to find time to spend a fun-flying weekend with us. 

 

This will not just be a balloon weekend.  It will also be the biggest sport aviation meeting in Asia!  There will be an Aerobatic show featuring the RV4 and Citabria from Manila. Sky diving exhibitions, Ultra light and homebuilt aircraft displays and flying, motorized glider flights, Aeromodeling demonstration, Rocketeering, kite-flying activities, helicopter owners fly-in, and private planes flying in from all over Asia and Japan. There will be a lot of static displays from aeronautical schools and manufacturers. A regional meeting for the Aircraft Owners and Pilot’s Association and the ASEAN Federation of Flying Club will also be held during this time.

-          Free land transfers from Clark Airport to Hotel

-          Free arrangement of all landing and flight permits

-          Free CIQ overtime charges

-          Free ground handling in all Philippine destinations

-          Free navigational, landing, and parking charges

-          Will be provided a volunteer car owner and driver for the duration of the stay

-          Free twin sharing hotel room in Manila, Feb. 5-6 and at Clark, Feb. 6-11 12:00 noon

-          Free positioning of fuel in Clark but requirement to be advised in advance

 

Balloon Fiesta Entry Fee:       $650.00 USD

·         Entry fee is for a crew of two and room will be on a twin-sharing basis.  Any additional crew or participant will be charged $450 per person. 

 

Flower Island Fly-In Entry fee:           $550.00 USD

-          Entry fee is for a crew of two and room will be on a twin-sharing basis. Any additional crew or participant will be charged $450 per person.

Entry fee includes

-          All arrangements for local flying permit, navigational, and parking fees

-          All land and sea transfers to and from Flower Island

-          All hotel accommodation, meals, dinner parties, but excluding drinks

 

For the airplane owners and pilots who will have limited time and will not be able to participate in the whole week activity, we recommend an arrival on the 9th and departure on the 13th.  This will be more for the airplane folks more than the ballooning crowd.
